Manufacturers, importers
A manufacturer or importer who violates content regulations is subject to imprisonment for not more than one year or a fine of not more than five hundred thousand baht, or both. In addition, the Ministry of Public Health shall order cessation of sale of the product, forbid importation of the product, and order destruction of such quantities of the product that have been manufactured or imported. The Ministry shall also make public notice of these actions.
The law aligns with FCTC Art. 9 and the FCTC Arts. 9 & 10 Partial Guidelines in that it imposes sanctions for content regulation violations.
Disclosure requirement
Manufacturers, importers
A manufacturer or importer who violates disclosure requirements is subject to imprisonment for not more than six months or a fine of not more than two hundred thousand baht, or both.
The law aligns with FCTC Art. 10 and the FCTC Arts. 9 & 10 Partial Guidelines in that the law imposes sanctions for disclosure violations.
