Does the law establish a minimum age for the purchase of heated tobacco products?
The law prohibits any person from furnishing a tobacco product, which, by definition, includes HTPs, to a young person in a public place or a place to which the public has access. Under the law, the definition of “young person” means "a person under eighteen years of age", and the definition of "furnish" includes selling or giving. Therefore, the sale of HTPs to anyone under the age of 18 is prohibited.
