HTPs are regulated subject to the Tobacco and Vaping Products Act, which regulates the sale, advertising, promotion and sponsorship, and packaging and labeling of tobacco products including tobacco inserts and devices.
Further regulations such as the Tobacco Products Information Regulations (as amended), Tobacco Products Regulations (Plain and Standardized Appearance) and Promotion of Tobacco Products and Accessories Regulations provide additional requirements for the packaging and labeling of certain tobacco products.
