J&K Voluntary Health & Development Association v. State of Jammu and Kashmir

J&K Voluntary Health & Development Association filed a public interest litigation seeking direction from the court for meaningful implementation of India's omnibus tobacco control law, COTPA.  The court directed various State Departments / Municipal Corporations to implement COTPA Sections 4 and 6, educate school children on the dangers of tobacco use, and ensure public awareness of Section 4 and 6 measures.
