Society for the Advancement of Health v. Mayor of Tel-Aviv-Yafo

A public interest association sued the City of Tel Aviv/Jaffa for lack of efficient enforcement of a law prohibiting smoking in public spaces.  The court decided not to order the city to adopt any specific measures yet, citing the city declaration that it has already began adopting policies and bylaws to implement the law.  The case remains open to ensure effective enforcement of the city’s new policies.
