Non-Smokers' Rights Association v. S.A. Total France

The Non-Smokers Rights Association (DNF) filed an "urgent action” (used to stop infractions immediately) in order to prohibit S.A. Total France from broadcasting on the air and on a related website images advertising Gauloises cigarettes during the Dakar Rally. S.A. Total France argued that the case was moot as it had withdrawn the offending images. The court agreed, but ordered that S.A. Total France pay 500 Euros in costs to DNF, finding DNF justified in bringing the suit.
