Smoke Free Status of Outdoor Places

Does the law require any outdoor or quasi-outdoor spaces to be smoke free or restrict smoking in any way? Examples of such places include within a specified distance of doorways, outdoor patios of bars or restaurants, parks/beaches, outdoor stadiums, and outdoor markets.

Analysis

Article 11 of Decision No. 24 lists public places where smoking or the use of tobacco is prohibited and includes in the list areas adjacent to educational, health, and sports facilities; places of worship; and industrial facilities and fuel or gas bottling plants. “Adjacent area” is defined in Decision No. 24, but does not include the dimensions of the area.
