Sales Age

Does the law establish a minimum age for the purchase of tobacco products?

Minimum Age: 21

The law prohibits the sale of tobacco to a minor, which is defined as a person below the age of 21 years.

The law meets FCTC Art. 16, which requires Parties to "prohibit the sale of tobacco products to persons under the age set by domestic law, national law, or eighteen."
