Analysis
The law requires the competent authorities of the cities with provincial status and at the county (city) level to enforce the provisions of the law. The law provides that the competent authorities “shall periodically send personnel to inspect the places listed in Articles 18 and 19, as well as the matters relating to the establishments and administrations of the smoking areas.”
The law aligns with FCTC Art. 8 and the FCTC Art. 8 Guidelines with respect to imposing a duty to enforce.
