Sales Restrictions
Violations of the sales restrictions on vending machines or internet sales are punishable by a fine ranging in amount from NTD 10,000 to NTD 50,000. Repeated violators may be fined continuously and independently for each violation.
Violations of the ban on the sale of single sticks are punishable by a fine ranging in amount from NTD 100,000 to NTD 500,000. Repeated violators may be fined continuously and independently for each violation.
Location-based Sales Restrictions
Tobacco sales are not restricted by location; therefore, there are no associated penalties.
Minimum Retail Package Size
Violations of the minimum retail package size are punishable by a fine ranging in amount from NTD 10,000 to NTD 50,000. Repeated violators may be fined continuously and independently for each violation.
Minimum Legal Sales Age
Violations of the ban on sales to persons below the age of 20 are punishable by a fine ranging in amount from NTD 10,000 to NTD 50,000.
