Does the law establish a minimum age for the purchase of tobacco products?
The law prohibits the sale of tobacco products to anyone under the age of 18. Vendors of tobacco products must have a clear and visible sign inside their stores, indicating that the sale of tobacco products to minors is prohibited, along with the available phone line of the Ministry of Health to report violations of the law.
The law meets FCTC Art. 16 in that it prohibits the sale of tobacco products to minors.
