The penalties for placing tobacco products on the market that do not comply with requirements or technical specifications laid down by law or regulation include: a fine of 10 to 140 fine units (50 to 700 Euros) for individuals, and a fine of 20 to 2,800 fine units (100 to 14,000 Euros) for legal entities.

The law aligns with FCTC Art. 9 and the FCTC Arts. 9 & 10 Partial Guidelines in that it imposes sanctions for content regulation violations.

Violations of the requirement to provide information to the competent authority are punishable by a fine of 28 to 140 fine units (140 to 700 Euros) for individuals, and by a fine of 140 to 1,400 fine units (700 to 7,000 Euros) for legal entities.

The law aligns with FCTC Art. 10 and the FCTC Arts. 9 & 10 Partial Guidelines in that it imposes sanctions for disclosure violations.
