Any person who manufactures, imports, sells by wholesale, distributes, stores, or in any way sells

Analysis

Any person who violates content regulations shall be punished by a fine between 1,000 and 200,000 Birr, and imprisonment for a term between three months and three years. In addition, when the violation is committed by a legal entity, the court may order closure, suspension, or dissolution of the entity, as appropriate.

In addition, the Authority may detain, seize, confiscate, and dispose of any non-complying products.

Analysis

Any manufacturer, importer, wholesaler, or distributor that violates disclosure requirements shall be punished by a fine of not less than 50,000 Birr, and imprisonment for a term between one and three years. In addition, when the violation is committed by a legal entity, the court may order closure, suspension, or dissolution of the entity, as appropriate.
