The law requires that a health warning be displayed at points of sale. The warning must state include the following:

  • “Smoking kills”
  • “It is forbidden to sell the tobacco product to underage children”
  • “In order to stop smoking, call: 116001, the call is free. Disease Control and National Public Health Center named after L. Sakvarelidze”

The law aligns with FCTC Art. 13 and the FCTC Art. 13 Guidelines with respect to health warning messages required at points of sale. To more fully align, the law should affirmatively require health warnings on other permitted forms of tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship.
