Analysis
The Minister of Health may appoint any person as an "authorized officer." An authorized officer must comply with directions that may be given to him by the Director General of Health Services.
Police and authorized officers have the power to arrest, and enter and inspect business premises.
The law aligns with FCTC Art. 8 and the FCTC Art. 8 Guidelines with respect to enforcement duties and powers.
