Analysis

Law No. 121 of 2021 states that penalties for violations of the law are provided by the Code on Administrative Liability. Under the Code on Administrative Liability, violations are subject to a fine of: 1) for individuals, from one to three calculations indexes, 2) for officials, from ten to twenty calculation indexes, and 3) for legal entities, from one hundred to five hundred calculation indexes.

The law aligns with FCTC Art. 9 and the FCTC Arts. 9 & 10 Partial Guidelines in that it imposes sanctions for content regulation violations.
