National Committee for Tobacco Control v. Robertus de X.

Robertus de X. was found liable for engaging in unlawful tobacco advertising and violating the tobacco control law’s health warnings requirements.  The National Committee for Tobacco Control (CNCT) appealed, seeking to increase the amount of the damages imposed. The Court of Cassation rejected the appeal, observing that the judges below have complete autonomy to decide damage levels.
