Entities that bring tobacco or tobacco products into the State or circulate either therein
Where tobacco products fail to conform with the technical standard specifications and conditions approved by the State, the materials will be destroyed or the person in control of such materials will be assigned to remove the tobacco products from the State at his/her own expense.
Anyone not complying with such an order is subject to a fine ranging from AED 50,000 to AED 200,000. Subsequent violations are punishable by imprisonment of up to one year and a fine of at least AED 200,000.
The law aligns with FCTC Art. 9 and the FCTC Arts. 9 & 10 Partial Guidelines in that it imposes sanctions for content regulation violations.
Disclosure requirement

Violations of the disclosure requirement are punishable by an immediate fine of AED 500 to be paid against reconciliation; without reconciliation, the matter will be referred to criminal trial where violations are punishable by fines between AED 3,000 and AED 10,000.
