Does the law establish a minimum age for the purchase of tobacco products?
The law prohibits the sale of tobacco products to an "under-age" person. As of January 1, 2020, an under-age person is anyone under 20 years of age. This age limit will rise to 21 years of age on January 1, 2021.
The law meets FCTC Art. 16 in that it prohibits the sale of tobacco products to minors.
