Analysis

A violation of the disclosure requirement is subject to a fine of "between 4,000 and 10,000 times the minimum general daily salary prevailing in the particular economic area." In the case a repeat offense within a one-year period, the fine is doubled. In addition, the entity may face temporary or permanent, partial or complete closure depending upon the seriousness of the offense, and a violator may be subject to detention of up to 36 hours.

The law aligns with FCTC Art. 10 and the FCTC Arts. 9 & 10 Partial Guidelines in that the law imposes sanctions for disclosure violations.
