Analysis

Violations of advertising and promotion provisions are subject to fines ranging from 20,000 patacas to 200,000 patacas. In addition, products or objects associated with the violation may be seized and destroyed.

The law aligns with FCTC Art. 13 and the FCTC Art. 13 Guidelines in that it provides for a range of penalties commensurate with the nature and seriousness of the offense.
