Analysis
Violations of content regulations by manufacturers and importers are punishable by a fine from €30,000.00 to €150,000.00. Violations by distributors and retailers are subject to a fine from €500.00 to €5,000.00.
The law aligns with FCTC Art. 9 and the FCTC Arts. 9 & 10 Partial Guidelines in that it imposes sanctions for content regulation violations.
