COMMENTS: Law No. 4059-RS on Tobacco Control (as amended) is the primary law in Georgia regulating e-cigarettes and the production, distribution, and consumption of tobacco products. The law regulates smoking in public places, requires health warnings on tobacco packaging, and restricts some forms of tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship.
The uploaded files contain amendments through Law No. 859-IIC of May 17, 2017. Subsequently, the law has been amended further several times, including by: Law No. 1278-RS, Law No. 3121-RS, Law No. 3956-IS, Law No. 4910-IIS, and Law No. 5128-IS.

COMMENTS Law No. 860-IIS on Changes to the Law on Advertising further regulate tobacco and e-cigarette advertising.
COMMENTS: Law No. 1278-RS amends Law No. 4059-RS on Tobacco Control to delay the implementation of plain packaging.
COMMENTS: Decree No. 14 of January 15, 2018 contains detailed requirements about the health warnings to appear on different types of tobacco products and e-cigarettes. Decree No. 14 also establishes maximum limits for cigarette emissions.
COMMENTS: Decree No. 01-20/N of May 1, 2018 regulates the disclosure to the government and public about content and emission levels.
COMMENTS: Law No. 3121-RS amends Law No. 4059-RS on Tobacco Control to prohibit smoking in non-smoking areas of prisons.
COMMENTS: Law No. 3956-IS amends the Law on Tobacco Control (Law No. 4059-RS) with respect to smoke free places and disclosures by manufacturers and importers.

COMMENTS: Law No. 5128-IS amends the Law on Tobacco Control (Law No. 4059-RS) with respect to definitions, disclosures by manufacturers and importers, restrictions on minimum package size, and packaging and labeling requirements.
COMMENTS: Law 150 provides information about approving the rules governing the threshold limits, measurement and regulation of emitted substances (nicotine, tar, choking gas) from filtered or unfiltered cigarettes (except for heated tobacco) sold in Georgia, as well as the approval of electronic cigarettes or other devices containing nicotine material/cartridge/capsule/container volume sold in Georgia and threshold nicotine levels in them and the availability and placement of medical warnings at tobacco sales points, on the boxes/blocks and packaging.

COMMENTS: Resolution No. 257 provides the approved technical regulations for plain packaging for tobacco products intended for sale in Georgia.
COMMENTS: The Administrative Offenses Code (as amended) contains penalties for a wide variety of offenses, including, but not limited to, violations of tobacco control provisions.
