Content regulation
The law does not regulate the contents of cigarettes; therefore, there are no specified penalties.
To align with FCTC Art. 9 and the FCTC Arts. 9 & 10 Guidelines, the law should regulate the contents of cigarettes and impose sanctions for violations.

Violations of disclosure requirements are subject to a fine of not less than ten thousand dalasis or imprisonment for a term of not less than one year or both. If the violator is a corporate entity, a court may in addition to the penalty stipulated: 1) impose a fine of not less than one hundred thousand dalasis, 2) order the surrender of any proceeds of sale of the product, or 3) suspend the trading license of the entity for a period of not less than six months.
The law aligns with FCTC Art. 10 and the FCTC Arts. 9 & 10 Partial Guidelines in that the law imposes sanctions for disclosure violations.
