Analysis

The law provides a range of penalties for violations of the advertising and promotion provisions. The Authority can seize the offending individuals or organizations tobacco products, issue warnings, impose fines, revoke special licenses, or take other appropriate administrative measures. Where appropriate, criminal penalties may also be imposed.

The law aligns with FCTC Art. 13 and the FCTC Art. 13 Guidelines in that it provides for a range of penalties.
