Action Required for Advertising, Promotion and Sponsorship Not Banned
Disclosure to the government by the tobacco industry of information on advertising, promotion and sponsorship activities and expenditures
The law does not require disclosure because the intent of the law is to impose a comprehensive ban on tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship. However, some forms of promotion and sponsorship may still be permitted.
To align with FCTC Art. 13 and the FCTC Art. 13 Guidelines, there should be a law prohibiting tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship. This law should require disclosure to the government by the tobacco industry of information on any permitted tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship activities and expenditures.
Health warning messages required on permitted forms of tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship
