E-cigarettes are regulated under a resolution by the National Agency of Health Oversight (ANVISA - Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária). Since e-cigarettes could be considered “other kind of smoking products” (as stated in Law No. 9.294), if approved under the conditions set in Art. 2 of the resolution, the tobacco control general legal framework would be applicable to them.
