COMMENTS: The Tobacco Control (Schedule 1 Amendment) Regulations 2016 amends the Tobacco Control Act 2015 by clarifying that smoking is permitted in the outdoor spaces of specified premises and extending the ban on smoking to include the premises of the national library and youth library.

COMMENTS: The Tobacco Control Act 2015 is the primary law governing tobacco control in Bermuda. This law includes regulation of smoking in public places; tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship; packaging and labeling; flavorings; electronic cigarettes; and other measures.

COMMENTS: The Tobacco Products (Public Health) Amendment Act 2005 Commencement Day Notice 2006 identified the dates on which specified provisions of the Tobacco Products (Public Health) Amendment Act 2005 were to come into force.

COMMENTS: The Tobacco Products (Public Health) Amendment Act 2005 amended the Tobacco Products (Public Health) Act 1987, which has since been repealed.

COMMENTS: The Sound Broadcasting Service Regulations 1994 (B.R. 1/94) regulate sound broadcasting in Bermuda, including commercial advertising on radio.

COMMENTS: The Television Broadcasting Service Regulations 1993 (B.R. 2/94) regulate television broadcasting in Bermuda, including commercial advertising on television.

COMMENTS: The Tobacco Products (Public Health) Regulations 1988 were revoked by the Tobacco Control Act 2015.

COMMENTS: The Tobacco Products (Public Health) Act 1987 was repealed by the Tobacco Control Act 2015.
