COMMENTS: The Smoking and Tobacco Products Usage (Control) Ordinance, 2025 amends the Smoking and Using of Tobacco Products (Control) Act, 2005 to require larger pictorial health warnings, prohibit all forms of advertising, including online and at points of sale, strengthen smoke free provisions, and ban the sale of emerging tobacco and nicotine products.

The Ordinance was adopted by an interim government and requires formal parliamentary approval upon the election of a new government.  Therefore, this law has not been reviewed by our legal staff, nor was it relied upon for purposes of our analysis. We are providing it here for informational purposes only. An updated legal analysis will be conducted upon parliamentary approval.
