Smoking and Tobacco Products Usage (Control) (Amendment) Act, 2026 (Act No. 91 of 2026)
COMMENTS: The Smoking and Use of Tobacco Products (Control) (Amendment) Act, 2026 contains amendments to the 2005 Act of the same name and the 2013 (Amendment) Act. The amended act is the principal law governing tobacco control in Bangladesh. The 2026 (Amendment) Act requires larger pictorial health warnings, prohibits advertising, including online and at points of sale and strengthens smoke free provisions and penalties for violation. This document contains only the amendments to the Act and should be read with the 2005 Act and the 2013 (Amendment) Act.
