COMMENTS: The Tobacco Control Act 2002, Act No. 6/2002, is the primary tobacco control law in Iceland. It governs, among other things, smoke free environments; tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship; and tobacco packaging and labeling. Both the Original Language version and the English translation of the law include amendments through December 2023 (Act No. 110/2023).
To the best of our knowledge, all laws provided here are in effect as of June 5, 2024 unless otherwise noted.
