Law No. 29517
COMMENTS: Law No. 29517, Law Which Amends Law No. 28705, General Law for the Prevention and Control of the Risks of Tobacco Use in Order to Adapt to the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, amends the main tobacco control law. Law No. 29517 requires, for the first time, that all indoor workplaces, public transportation, and indoor public places be 100% smoke free. The law also requires health warnings on both principal display areas of tobacco product packaging, rather than one principal display area.
Law No. 29517 was repealed by Law No. 32159. An updated analysis is forthcoming.
