Law No. 12.546 of December 14, 2011
COMMENTS: Law No. 12.546 of December 14, 2011 makes several amendments to Law No. 9.294. In particular, the amendments prohibit smoking in all shared enclosed spaces; extend the ban on forms of tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship; and require text health warnings on the front of packaging (in addition to the graphic health warning occupying 100% of the back of the package).
To the best of our knowledge, all laws provided here are in effect as of June 6, 2026 unless otherwise noted.
