The Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes (Production, Manufacture, Import, Export, Transport, Sale, Distribution, Storage and Advertisement) Ordinance, 2019 (No. 14 of 2019)
COMMENTS: The Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes (Production, Manufacture, Import, Export, Transport, Sale, Distribution, Storage and Advertisement) Ordinance, 2019 (No. 14 of 2019) bans the sale and advertising of e-cigarettes and e-cigarette components. E-cigarette companies challenged the ordinance in the Calcutta High Court.
The ordinance was subsequently replaced by the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes (Production, Manufacture,Import, Export, Transport, Sale, Distribution, Storage and Advertisement) Act, 2019 (No. 42 of 2019).
