COMMENTS: Law No. 5782-2022 contains amendments to the Prohibition of Advertising and Restriction of Marketing of Tobacco and Smoking Products Law. The amendments will prohibit all tobacco newspaper advertising as of April 1, 2029. Until that time, a number of transitional measures are in place to further restrict permitted newspaper advertisements.
To the best of our knowledge, all laws provided here are in effect as of April 8, 2026 unless otherwise noted.
